The finale of this season’s German Kart Championship takes place in Wackersdorf this weekend and promises to be the biggest event of the year, with over 220 competitors set to line up at Pro Kart Raceland. The focus will be on the title races, with all to play for in five classes. Both race days will be streamed live.
The drivers in the German Kart Championship have five exciting race weekends behind them. This year’s champions will now be decided at Pro Kart Raceland in Wackersdorf. Having already visited the track in the Upper Palatinate region at the end of the first half of the season, the top German karting series now returns for the grand finale. With more than 220 competitors, the field will be the biggest of the 2024 season. There are also multiple guest drivers from Germany, and there is also great interest from neighbouring countries.

No fewer than three automobile championships will present themselves to the competitors and spectators in the paddock at Pro Kart Raceland. FK Performance Motorsport will be present with the BMW M4 GT3 and BMW M4 GT4, which the team runs in the ADAC GT Masters and ADAC GT4 Germany. At the same time, fans can also check out the Opel Corsa Rally Electric – the first fully-electric rally car from the ADAC Opel Electric Rally Cup “powered by GSe”.
Title race takes centre stage in Wackersdorf
Only in the German Mini Kart Championship did Milan Rossi (Lanari Racing Team) manage to wrap up the title at the penultimate round in Mülsen. In all the other classes, there is still everything to play for. Stan Pex (SP Motorsport) leads the German Kart Championship (DKM) and is well-placed to clinch his third title. The only driver who can still deny him is fellow Dutchman Christiaan de Kleijn (CRG Holland). The second international category has also come down to a two-way battle: Moritz Groneck (CRG Holland) comes into the finale as the leader in the German Junior Kart Championship. However, his closest rival Oliver Städtler (CV Performance Group) enjoyed a perfect weekend in Mülsen to keep his title dreams alive.

Two final victories at the season-opener in Mülsen and Ampfing propelled Maximilian Schleimer (Maranello SRP Factory Team) to the top of the table in the DMSB Shift Kart Cup, and he backed up his early-season form with podiums at the following events. Despite this, he cannot afford to rest on his laurels at the finale. Claudia Henning is hot on his heels and could yet turn the tide in her favour in Wackersdorf. In contrast, Nathalie Kreitz (VDB Kart Racing) has a comfortable lead in the Masters competition and can relax coming into the final event of the season. With 54 drivers, the DSKC class is absolutely full to capacity.
Rounding off the programme is IAME Series Germany. Both the Junior and Senior classes are very popular, and the title race promises to provide plenty of drama. Marius Bonconseil (Ebert Motorsport), Lars Ramaer (SIM-ON) and Elias Tittus (DUTT Motorsport by Fenster.com) still have their sights set on the Junior title. ADAC Stiftung Sport driver Elia Weiss (SIM-ON) leads the Seniors, but could still be caught by Torben Gröndahl (CV Performance Group) and Phil Colin (Ebert Motorsport), who is also supported by the ADAC Stiftung Sport foundation. Reigning World Cup winner Niels Tröger (Apex Performance) will be making something of a karting comeback. He actually lines up in the ADAC GT4 Germany series, but is returning to the kart scene in the X30 Senior class in Wackersdorf.
