DKM runs on 100% e-fuels

P1 Fuels becomes partner of the DKM

As one of the first kart racing series in Europe, the DKM 2023 will start with e-fuels and thus take a pioneering step towards the sustainability of karting. A competent partner has been found in P1 Fuels, which will accompany the highest German Karting Championship as sole supplier.

"We are pleased to have taken this big step. In karting, too, it is important to improve sustainability even further. With the DEKM, Germany was already a pioneer many years ago, and we are now glad to take on this role again with the decision to use e-fuels," Sandra Deckert, Managing Director of promoter DMSW, comments on the decision.

P1 Fuels from Berlin is the world's leading supplier of fossil-free fuels in terms of quality and sustainability. The company already works with numerous car manufacturers and has extensive experience in motorsport as a fuel supplier of the World Rally Championship (WRC).

Drivers, teams and engine tuners have the opportunity to carry out test drives with the new fuel before the start of the season. For this purpose, there is a corresponding order form on www.kart-dm.de in the section Regulations/Documents, which can be sent directly to a contact at P1 Fuels.

P1 Fuels will offer extensive track support on five DKM race weekends. The starting signal will be given from 21-23 April in Mülsen. This will be followed by Genk (26-28 May) and at the halfway point of the season in Wackersdorf (25-27 August). The second half of the season includes a race in Kerpen from 22-24 September before the finale takes place for the first time in Franciacorta, Italy (27-29 October).

Registration for the German Kart Championship with the four predicates DKM, DJKM, DSKM and DSKC already started in December and has been very popular. The online registration is available at www.kart-dm.de.

In addition to the five DKM races, the team is also organizing the Road to Wackersdorf this year. From 20-23 July, the event is the a good test for the World Karting Championship. The KZ, KZ2 and KZ2 Masters classes are announced. The schedule and the technical regulations, including tyres and fuel, are based on those of the FIA Kart World Championship.
