The Alpine Academy unveiled its affiliate programme in early March 2022, which will work in conjunction with the Academy to encourage and recruit the best drivers of tomorrow. Brazilian Matheus Ferreira has been selected to join the new initiative as a potential future motorsport talent.
Serious results in karting already
At 15 years old, this year Matheus Ferreira will race in the OK category, which represents the highest level of karting, after three seasons in OK-Junior, crowned by the title of FIA Karting European vice-champion in 2021. Faithful to Dino Chiesa's Kart Republic Motorsport team, where he is one of the most trusted drivers, he has already shown a high level of performance in the top category with two consecutive pole positions in Lonato in the WSK Super Master Series and a 2nd place on the podium of the Winter Series by RGMMC in Franciacorta.
New prospects
Joining the Alpine Affiliate Programme opens up new opportunities for Matheus. In addition to a privileged position to access the Alpine Academy, he will have professional support at a crucial stage in his career. This includes, but is not limited to, career advice, mentoring, various training courses such as public relations and more. As an Alpine affiliate he will also have the opportunity to use the world-class facilities of the BWT Alpine F1 Team in Enstone. Matheus will be well equipped to negotiate his next move into single-seaters in the best possible conditions.
