Two months away from the 34th edition of the 24 Hours Karting, the ACO and its promoter are finalising the last organisational details of this legendary event where the title of 2019 FIA Karting Endurance Champion will be awarded. Karting will share new displays with the 24 Hours Trucks. While remaining faithful to the original spirit of the great classic of endurance, the ACO and its sponsor have introduced some new features intended in particular to encourage wide participation from enthusiasts. An AM ranking will be put in place for the first time.
The technical and sporting aspects of the 24 Hours Karting have been the subject of thorough reflection from the organisers and several measures have been taken to ensure maximum satisfaction for every participant. The rigour and fairness of the racing for the great endurance karting event are a permanent priority in the ACO's preparation.
Refuelling System
Making access to the endurance discipline a priority, the organisers will provide a refuelling system to interested competitors free of charge allowing them to use their kart without any particular modification. Teams with a removable tank will be free to continue using it at their convenience.
AM rating
The ACO wanted to highlight the performance of amateur teams who have chosen to use this new simplified refuelling system which has already successfully tested in the last 6 hours of Le Mans by creating an AM ranking specifically for them.
Tyres adapted for all
While the GP1 teams of the FIA Karting Endurance Championship will have to use the MG Option that won the 2019 CIK-FIA tender, the GP2 and GP Junior categories will use the LeCont LO F / Z Option offering a very high level of performance.
Many teams have already started their preparation. Everyone is eager to find out which teams are entered, and the official poster of the 24 Hours Karting has just been presented.
