WSK's most prestigious title goes to Romania thanks to Bogdan Cosma Cristofor

On Saturday 2nd March, Bogdan Cosma Cristofor became the new WSK Super Master Series Champion in OK-N Junior. The young Romanian hopeful has once again achieved the objective he set himself. After three consecutive podium finishes, including two victories, in the first three rounds of the prestigious WSK Promotion series, the Forza Racing driver arrived in Sarno for the final round with a good lead, and he managed to clinch the title without a hitch.

The figures speak for themselves... Since the start of the 2023 season, Bogdan Cosma Cristofor has collected a total of four titles, 13 podiums and seven wins in the WSK series. A record in just 14 months! The Romanian driver made a perfect transition from Mini to Junior at the end of the previous year and is still racking up victories in his new category. With each new event, Bogdan shows boundless energy and impressive determination. The work done since the start of the season with Jamie Croxford's Forza Racing team continues to bear fruit.

Bogdan Cosma Cristofor opens the OK-N Junior champions list

It was the first time that the OK-N Junior category had appeared in the WSK Super Master Series, the most coveted of the famous Italian promoter's events, and Bogdan gave his all to take the top step of the podium at the end of the Neapolitan meeting held on the Sarno International Circuit.

The series began in Lonato with a victory at the end of January. In February, rain disrupted the Cremona event, but the young Romanian mastered the difficult and changeable conditions to climb back up to 3rd place. A week later at Franciacorta, he won again against stiff competition with 40 drivers at the start. At Sarno, he again fought for victory, while keeping in mind that the most important thing was to bring the title back to Romania.

A difficult but conclusive Final

2nd in Qualifying, just 44 thousandths off pole position, Bogdan regained the lead after three heats. The rain arrived on Saturday. The Romanian driver secured a solid 2nd place in the Prefinal, while the Final proved particularly tough. The track began to dry out as the race progressed, while the karts remained equipped with rain tyres. Trapped at the start because of his position on the outside of the grid, Bogdan lost a few positions in the opening laps and then did his utmost not to make any mistakes. He crossed the finish line in 6th position, more than enough to take the 2024 WSK Super Master Series champion's crown with a 70-point advantage over his closest rival. A brilliant performance!

On the technical and coaching side, Jamie Croxford of Forza Racing, Machac Motors, Luca Cavalli, Dean Panrucker, Manuel and Cătălin Caloianu obviously played an important role in winning this title, which was also made possible thanks to the support of the Bucharest International School and Bogdan Cosma Cristofor's partners: One Properties, Black Fire, Miko Dental, Miko Med, Urban Automobile, Rapundel, Novo Development, Energen România.
