WSK Open Series with 250 drivers at the opener in Franciacorta from April 3rd to 7th

The opener of the WSK Open Series will take place at the Franciacorta Karting Track with categories MINI, OKNJ, OKN, KZ2 and KZ2 Masters. 

Following the important participation success and racing spectacle achieved in the recent championship with its four thrilling rounds of the WSK Super Master Series, WSK Promotion continues its brilliant streak in 2024 with the opening of the WSK Open Series at the Franciacorta Karting Track, where 250 drivers are expected to compete.

On the track, the MINI category and the two new federal categories, OKNJ and OKN, present themselves quite crowded and filled with young talents, capable of attracting an ever-increasing number of drivers race after race. There is also excellent participation in the KZ2 and KZ2 Masters categories (reserved for drivers over 35 years old) with the presence of 90 drivers and many established champions among them.

 

Seventh edition.
The WSK Open Series, born in 2018, is now in its seventh edition and, despite its relatively young age, is an unmissable event on the international karting calendar. Among its winners are names like Riccardo Longhi, Giuseppe Palomba, Stan Pex and Emilien Denner, who are undisputed protagonists in recent years of gearbox karting categories, as well as young talents currently engaged in single-seaters such as Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Taylor Barnard, Freddie Slater, Martinius Stenshorne, Tuukka Taponen and Nikola Tsolov.

This year's edition takes place in two rounds, after the Franciacorta event, the International Circuit of La Conca will conclude the WSK Open Series 2024 on Saturday, May 11th with the finals of all categories.

 

The program.
The program for the Franciacorta event begins on Wednesday, April 3rd with free practice sessions, which continue on Thursday, April 4th. On Friday, qualifying sessions and the first heats will follow, concluding on Saturday. On Sunday, April 7th, the final phase will be broadcast live via Live Streaming.

 

The program of the WSK Open Series, Rd1 Franciacorta:

Wednesday, April 3rd and Thursday, April 4th: free practice.
Friday, April 5th: qualifying practice; heats.
Saturday, April 6th: warm-up; qualifying heats.
Sunday, April 7th: warm-up; Prefinals and Finals with Live TV and Live Streaming coverage.
