WKA and Blue Shock Race Electric Karting form Partnership for Sprint Programs in the USA

WKA to add the category full time in 2025, with exhibitions this year

Always looking to be innovative and adjust their program for the future, the World Karting Association (WKA) and Blue Shock Race Electric Karting have formed a partnership for Sprint racing programs in the United States. With exhibition races planned in 2024, the Electric kart class will be added full-time in the 2025 race season.

“Since its inception, WKA has always had a place for everyone in Karting,” shared WKA President Kevin Williams. “With the technology of e-karts improving all the time, we are thrilled to have found a strong partner in Blue Shock Race to enhance our commitment. Blue Shock Race, already established in many countries, brings a wealth of experience and innovation to our Sprint programs. We are excited to embark on this journey together and see where it could take us.”

Blue Shock Race Electric Karting will hold exhibition programs at WKA's Halloween Shootout at Whiteland Raceway Park in Whiteland, Indiana, over the October 25-26 weekend, and WKA's Gold Cup Event at the 103 Street Sports Complex in Jacksonville, Florida, November 22-24. At both events, Blue Shock Race will have factory reps to support the category during 2024 promotional programs and at all of 2025 events, beginning with the WKA Daytona Kartweek. Looking forward, Blue Shock Race will be added to the Gold Cup and Manufacturers Cup programs in 2025 as a part of the National Championships.

“I want to express huge thanks to everyone involved in the development of electric karting, and I'm proud to announce that this year, together with WKA and other partners, we are launching the American Electric Karting Championship,” expressed Artis Daugins, Founder of Blue Shock. “It's a significant challenge from various perspectives, but as we all know, in America, big things start here and are achieved by crazy people who are ready to work hard. Therefore, the BSR team is committed to bringing many new drivers into the karting industry in the coming years, providing them with the latest and most advanced racing technologies developed by the BSR team. Together, we can achieve more.”
