Two podiums for Vortex in the WSK Euro Series

The OTK Kart Group engines, on the occasion of the first round of the championship at the South Garda Karting in Lonato, are close to victory and get the top-3 position twice (despite the rain) in the final races of the KZ2 and OKJ categories.

KZ2 - In the shifter category, the RTZ and RSZ Vortex engines get an important podium under the rain and at the end of a comeback from the bottom positions. The author of this great comeback is Pedro Hiltbrand (Tony Kart Racing Team), who scores a +23 compared to his position at the starting grid, worthing a 3rd place in the final. Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart Racing Team) is the second best Vortex engine in the ranking, within the top-15.

OK – 9 are the Vortex DST engines entering the final of the master class of single speed karts, just about a quarter of the grid. Luigi Coluccio (Kosmic Racing Department) is the best interpreter of the race with a 4th position, with the Italian driver of the Kosmic Racing Department also standing out during the weekend with a victory in the pre-final, one in the eliminatoryn heats and a 2nd position in the qualifyings. The Italian driver misses the podium only because of a penalty due to the front fairing wrong positioning. Tuukka Taponen (Tony Kart Racing Team) obtained the 5th place just behind Coluccio, while Norton Andreasson (Ward Racing) reaches the top 10-list thanks to an 8th place. On the other hand, Sebastian Gravlund (Kosmic Racing Department) just missed the 10th place, as well as Alfio Spina (Tony Kart Racing Team) who finishes one position behind the Danish driver. Ongoing with the ranking, we also find Bruno Del Pino (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Hugo Lindstrom (Ward Racing). Unlucky Joseph Turney (Tony Kart Racing Team), one of the favourite drivers for the final victory, but who had to stop prematurely. Olaf Tyrakowski (Amo-Racing Team) also has to retire early.

OKJ - In the "junior" class, the DJT engines almost make the 25% of the final grid and, among them, Harley Keeble’s (Tony Kart Racing Team) comes very close to victory. The British driver of the Tony Kart Racing Team takes the pole position with an important success in the pre-final and leads the early stages of the last and decisive race of the weekend. After the fight for the first place, Keeble finishes 2nd, but can also count three third positions and a fast lap in the qualifying heats. Maxim Rehm (Ricky Flynn Motorsport) misses the 3rd place, due to a penalty for an incorrectly positioned front fairing and Alexander Gubenko (Tony Kart Racing Team) collects a 6th place. Scrolling down the final ranking, we find in this order: Kevin Lantinga (KSM Official Racing Team), Maxebs Verbrugge (Ricky Flynn Motorsport), Oscar Wurz (Exprit Racing Team), Hanna Hernandez Salim (Ricky Flynn Motorsport) and Enea Frey (Ricky Flynn Motorsport).

MINI - Jimmy Helias (Tony Kart Racing Team) obtains two third places in the eliminatory heats of the "minor" class of the WSK Euro Series. The French Tony Kart Racing Team’s driver goes towards the pre-final entering the top-5, while in the final he recovers from the bottom after an initial collision with a rival, finishing among the best twenty in the final ranking.
