Born in Rome on November 8, 2007, De Palo will tackle the category for the second season after an initial apprenticeship in 2024 during which he achieved two important results such as fourth place at the Red Bull Ring and fifth place at Spa. De Palo made his single-seater debut in 2023, taking part in the Spanish Formula 4 championship, finishing in fifth place with one win, four podiums and one pole. For De Palo, Trident Motorsport is the first Italian team with which he will contest a single-seater championship. Maurizio Salvadori’s team continues the tradition of fielding an Italian driver after having relied on Leonardo Fornaroli in 2022 and Nicola Lacorte in 2024. Maurizio Salvadori – Team Owner: “I am very happy to welcome Matteo to the team, a driver who, despite being one of the youngest in the recently concluded Formula Regional Championship, has shown excellent potential on several occasions. We had the opportunity to have him in our car for some tests in the past few weeks and I must say that, together, we have done a job that gives me a lot of hope for next season”. Matteo De Palo: “I am very happy to be part of Trident Motorsport for the 2025 season. I would like to thank the team for giving me this opportunity and for believing in my potential. I am ready to give my all and to work hard to make next season special”.
