Tony Kart Reveals 2021 Racing Team Plans

The line-up of drivers and the race calendar of the Tony Kart Racing Team have been defined, which will be on track in all the main international events in the 60 Mini, OKJ, OK and KZ/KZ2 classes.

The international 2021 racing season is just around the corner and the challenge ahead of us is a very demanding one: to repeat and - if possible - improve the incredible 2020 that our Tony Kart Racing Team closed with a memorable hat-trick on the occasion of the FIA Karting World Championship.

In order to face a 2021 race calendar full of events, made up of the traditional CIK-FIA and WSK rounds as well as of some commitments still to be defined, we will rely, as usual, on our Tony Kart Racer 401R - as far as the KZ/KZ2, OK, OKJ categories are concerned - and on the Tony Kart Rookie 2020, for the CIK-FIA 60 Mini, obviously powered by Vortex engines, the "engine division" of the OTK Kart Group.

The KZ/KZ2 division is led by the couple Simo Puhakka - Pedro Hiltbrand, joined by the new entry Josef Knopp and the confirmed Gilles Stadsbader, the latter already part of our team in the final events of KZ2, in 2020.
On the occasion of the European Championship and of the International Super Cup KZ2, also the Luyet brothers, Jean and Samuel, and Kacper Nadolski will join our Racing Team. Noah Milell, on the other hand, will be lined up in KZ in the same races.

The OK category is assigned to two of the authors of the 2020 world hat-trick: the world champion in force, Callum Bradshaw, and the vice-world champion, Joseph Turney. The two experienced drivers are flanked by two young promises who are basically rookies in the category: Tuukka Taponen and Alfio Spina, both coming from the OKJ.

Also in the Junior single-speed class the same set-up was repeated, with the confirmed Harley Keeble, in the role of "expert", joined by James Egozi who, instead, comes directly from the 60 Mini. In the latter category, Jimmy Helias is still with us in all the scheduled races.

The appointment is in Adria (18th - 21st February) for the opening race of the international karting season, with the WSK Champions Cup, immediately followed, the following weekend, by the 1st round of the WSK Super Master Series.
