Tony Kart is training for the European Championship in Trinec

The Tony Kart Racing Team attends the second round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series in the Czech Republic, on the same circuit that will host the FIA Karting European Championship OK-OKJ in less than two weeks.

After having archived the WSK Super Master Series - championship won for the second year in a row in the OK category – the Tony Kart Racing Team is once more in action on the occasion of second round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series, staged on the circuit of Třinec (Czech Republic) which will also host in about two weeks the FIA Karting European Championship for OK-OKJ categories. As always, the technical division has been featured by the Tony Kart Racer 401 RR, equipped with the Vortex engines, the "engine division” of the OTK Kart Group.

In OK class, Sebastiano Pavan is again one of the main protagonists of the category, after the podium obtained the week before at the fourth and last round of the WSK Super Master Series in Cremona. The Italian driver sets the second best timing in his qualifying group on Thursday, and continues with a high-profile run in the qualifying heats: three victories, a third place and a fastest lap. Pavan is therefore third in the intermediate ranking, next to a further concrete Top 5 in the A Super Heat before the final. Their leader thus jumps from the second final of the decisive last race of the weekend, but in the first corners he gets into collision with another driver and is forced to stop.

Jan Przyrowski is also steadily at the top of the rankings, author of five Top 5 places (including two podiums), a fastest lap in the eliminatory heats and a fourth place in the B Super Heat. The Polish driver, in the final, despite the problems of a precarious grip on the track due to the rain, avoids every kind of obstacle and tussle during the first laps and benefits of a seventh place under the chequered flag.

After a third place in the first stage in Valencia, Arthur Poulain records a Top 3 as his best result in the qualifying heats, but he also has to raise the white flag during the final. Space on the track was for Zoe Florescu Potolea and Jakub Rajski, who took advantage of the event to better prepare themselves for the next round of the FIA Karting European Championship.

In OKJ class, an unlucky qualifying places Scott Kin Lindblom in the middle of the group, but their driver, thanks to an excellent path, is able to gain 18 positions at the end of the qualifying heats and shows off in Saturday morning's B Super Heat with a precious sixth place. The Swedish driver has all the credentials to fight at the top of the rankings in the final, but is involved in a multiple accident caused by a competitor in front of him during the first lap.

Constant growth for Alp Hasan Aksoy throughout the weekend. The Turkish driver climbs 27 positions between the qualifying and eliminatory heats. The hard wet track conditions then enhance his skills in the final, where he performs a comeback of 26 positions which allows him to enter the decisive Top 10, in eighth position. Maria Germano Neto is also performing well, collecting a fourth place as best result in the qualifying heats and taking part in Saturday afternoon's final, in which he recovers 7 positions from his grid position. First time familiarizing with the Třinec circuit is also Davide Bottaro, in view of the second round of the FIA Karting European Championship.

Two-week-break for OK and OKJ categories’ drivers, ready to get back on track for the FIA Karting European Championship in Třinec (May 18th – 21st). On the same weekend, the youngest MINI drivers will tackle the opening round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship in Cremona.
