Timing practice at the WSK Euro Series - Night Event 4th round in Adria (I)

Night Event, a classy appointment for WSK Euro Series. The International karting night got underway. This is the final moment for the classification that, thanks to the powerful floodlights of the Adria Karting Raceway (in the photo above), will get the final battles of WSK Euro Series literally under the spotlight. A total of 160 drivers from 37 different countries will be present for this race. The four rounds of this International Series devised and organized by WSK Promotion will reach its conclusion this coming weekend in the overnight race that has started in Adria (RO). Up for grabs is the final victory of classes OK that is currently led by Lorenzo Travisanutto (KR-Iame-Bridgestone), that of OK Junior where Andrea Kimi Antonelli (KR-Iame-Vega) is leading the charts, and 60 Mini with the Brit William Macintyre (Parolin-TM-Vega) leading the pack. The fourth category included in WSK Euro Series, KZ2, named its winner last Sunday in Lonato (BS). The Italian Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart-Vortex-Bridgestone) won this series. In each of the next racing days, or better nights will start in the evening with a warm-up or the initial qualifying heats. Sunset is quite charming at the circuit of Adria and, as the night kicks in, the most important moment of the days will get underway.

Qualifying last night took place after midnight (above and below, some moments of the sessions). The closing stages on Saturday, June 29th, will follow the same schedule starting from Prefinals that will be followed by the two Final B for drivers that did not make it into the Final of categories OK Junior and 60 Mini. The live streaming will be active starting with Prefinals and will continue until the end of the event. The broadcast will start at 18:10 local time. The Finals will be run in the night: these races will start naming the final winners of WSK Euro Series 2019 from 21:30.

Surprising results in qualifying.

Overnight qualifying in Adria got underway with the Russian Kirill Kutskov (Energy-TM-Vega), 28th in the 60 Mini classification, posting the quickest time in 54”702s. He led the Italian Manuel Scognamiglio (Tony Kart-TM). Classification leader from Great Britain William Macintyre (Parolin-TM) had a troubled start and, currently, he is only 31st. The position of the Italian Andrea Kimi Antonelli (KR-Iame-Vega) is relatively easier in OK Junior. He is leading the classification and posted the quickest time in 49”162s last night, leading his nearest rival, the Dutch Thomas Ten Brinke (FA Kart-Vortex). The leader of OK also has some ground to get back: Lorenzo Travisanutto (KR-Iame-Bridgestone) is called to a comeback after ending qualifying practice in 24th place. Good news for the Italian Gabriele Minì (Parolin-TM) who is 12th in the classification but started the Night Event of Adria posting the fastest time in 47”826s, leading the Brit Taylor Barnard (KR-Iame).
