Tim Tramnitz clinches the final timed session at Hockenheim

The first day of pre-collective testing for the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine concluded at Hockenheim this afternoon with the third session, once again featuring an outstanding performance by Tim Tramnitz.

Under heavy rain, the young driver representing the R-ace GP team reaffirmed his position at the top of the time charts, following his earlier success in the morning’s first session. Tramnitz displayed consistent strong form today, and this weekend, he’s poised to engage in an exciting battle for the role of vice-champion in the series, with his teammate Martinius Stenshorne, who is currently only 22 points ahead in the overall standings.

Another impressive performance this afternoon came from Rafel Camara, who driving a car for the Prema Racing team, finished just 36 milliseconds behind Tramnitz. The third-fastest time was set by Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Prema Racing), who had earlier posted the best time of the day during the second session held this morning. Behind the Italian champion, Sami Meguetounif (MP Motorsport) secured the fourth position, while Joshua Durksen (Arden Motorsport) completed the top 5.

Stenshorne himself claimed the sixth position, followed by Maceo Capietto (RPM), Nikhil Bohra (Trident Motorsport), Roman Bilinski (Trident Motorsport), and Kas Haverkort (Van Amersfoort Racing) rounded out the top 10.

The international series will return to action tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM for the first collective test session, lasting 45 minutes.
