The WSK Super Master Series comes to an end this weekend
The last round of the season of the WSK Super Master, the Series promoted by WSK Promotion for the MINI, OK Junior, OK Senior, and KZ2 classes will take place on the Cremona circuit from 26th to 30th April. The CRG Racing Team will be there with a selection of OK Junior and OK drivers to prepare for the European Championship race next July, as well as lining-up the entire MINI team and two drivers who will make their debut with CRG colors in KZ2.
Going by order, Klara Kowalczyk will be competing in OK-Junior, while Simone Bianco, Louis Iglesias, and Michael Ider will be racing in OK, the latter making his debut in the Senior class. As mentioned before, two new drivers will make their debut with the CRG Racing Team in KZ2, the Polish brothers Jakub and Filip Wojcik, both competing with the engine service managed by Gianfranco Galiffa. The most nourished CRG team will be the one lined up in the MINI category with 10 drivers: Cristian Blandino, Luuk Taal, Asher Ochstein, Adam Bryla, Rajpold Kacper, Oliver Zwinger in the GR3 and Achille Rea, Antonio Ianni, Yunu Park, and Domenico Coco in the Under 10 group. CRG MINI is also the only category that has interests for what concerns the classification, as the other classes only raced in the events useful for the preparation of the international races and the greatest ambitions to finish in the top 3, in particular, are for Achille Rea in the Under 10 group.
The event program will be the usual with Qualifying Practice and the first Heats on Friday, followed by Heats again on Saturday, and then ending with Pre-Finals and Finals on Sunday. On the WSK website (www.wskarting.it) it will be possible to follow the Live Timing and the Live Streaming (on Sunday), while access to the circuit will be free for the whole weekend.
CRG drivers’ expectations:
Louis Iglesias (OK): “After the excellent weekend in Franciacorta I can't wait to get back to a WSK event and compete with the most competitive drivers in the OK category. This race will also be a very important test in view of my debut in the FIA races, as we are considering competing as a Wild Card in the European Championship Round, which will take place on this track in July. But apart from these evaluations, my focus will be on the result linked to this race, where I would like to realize the potential and speed I had at the start of the season".
Klara Kowalczyk (OK Junior): “It will be a very busy weekend with 90 drivers registered for this event. My goal will be to earn a place in the Final and to achieve this it will be important to have constant performances in the Heat, while too many times in the qualifying stages I had ups and downs that conditioned my race weekends. Obviously, we will also test in view of the European Championship race that we will attend on this circuit in July, so the work program will be very intense starting from Free Practice".
Achille Rea (MINI): “I really like this track and I will try my best to end this Series with the best possible result in the general standings, starting from my current 5th position. After the victory in Franciacorta, my performance has not been constant, but we are very competitive and my goal will be to make no mistakes in the qualifying stages and then play our cards in the Final, where I hope to end the race with a new podium”.
