The third round of the WSK Super Master Series in La Conca

The third round of the championship for the three categories OK, OKJ and MINI will get underway from March 3rd to 6th in La Conca. The standings after the first two rounds. The final stages will be available through the Live Streaming on Sunday, March 6th.

The round of La Conca on March 3-6, 2022 is the third appointment of the WSK  Super Master Series, that will see the categories MINI, OKJ and OK on track this time around. After the two rounds held in Lonato last January 30th and February 13th, the classifications are quite open with a lot of protagonists. On top of that, regulations will award increased points in the closing appointments of La Conca this coming weekend and in Sarno one week afterwards.

 

Taponen leads OK from Coluccio.

After two rounds OK is currently led by Tuukka Taponenn (Tony Kart Racing Team/Tony Kart-Vortex-LeCont), who claimed a double win in the Prefinal and Final in Lonato, which allowed him to get on the top spot of the standings. The Finnish driver reached 156 points and is followed by his teammate and winner of the opening round, Luigi Coluccio at 136 points. The third place is currently occupied by the Jamaican Alex Powell (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame) at 85 points: he was second in the Final of Lonato.

Fluxa Cross chasing Bondarev in OKJ.

OK-Junior saw Lucas Fluxa Cross (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame-Vega) coming to the fore in Lonato, but the new classification leader is Oleksandr Bondarev (Ricky Flynn/LN-Vortex), who totaled 124 points despite ending second behind Fluxa Cross in the Final. The previous classification leader, René Lammers (Parolin Motorsport/Parolin-TM Racing), won the first round but then slipped down to P3 at 98 points as he was overtaken also by Fluxa Cross, who stands second at 105 points.

OKJ standings:
1. Oleksandr Bondarev (UKR) points 124
2. Lucas Fluxa Cross (ESP) points 105
3. René Lammers (NLD) points 98

 

Good margin for Pesl in MINI.

In MINI the Czech Jindrich Pesl (BabyRace/Parolin-Iame-Vega) secured a good margin taking the hat-trick in the round of Lonato, which allowed him to reach 181 points. Two other protagonists of this category follow him equal on points: the Belgian Dries Van Langendonk (Parolin Motorsport/Parolin-TM Racing), who won the opener in Lonato and his teammate from Spain Christian Costoya, who won two Prefinals instead.
