The last round of the WSK Master takes place in Sarno this weekend

The 4th and final round of the WSK Master Series, one of the most important international championships on the sidelines of the FIA events, will take place at the International Circuit of Naples from 10th to 13th March. Actually, for the KZ category it will be the 3rd round as it was not scheduled for last week in Lecce, contrarily to the Mini, OK Junior and OK Senior classes.

For all the teams this is an important appointment also for the fact that the FIA World Championship for the OKJ and OK categories will take place on this track in September, so it will already be possible to collect data in relation to this event.

For the CRG colors, Gabriel Gomez in OK and the duo made of Filippo Fiorentino and Sebastian Garzon Orozco in OKJ will be the drivers involved in the direct drive classes, as well as the young Oliver Rasmussen in the Mini one. The team will instead be almost complete in KZ where 7 drivers will attend the race weekend with the CRG Racing Team: Alex Irlando, Jeremy Iglesias, Viktor Gustavsson, Brandon Nilsson, Paavo Tonteri, Jorge Pescador and Natalia Balbo. From the point of view of the provisional championship standings, Iglesias and Tonteri are the drivers who may have the greatest ambitions to finish the Series in the top 3, even if the absolute result has never been a priority objective for CRG, which in these starting races season has privileged the development of 2022 technical materials in view of the start of the FIA Championships.

The event program will respect the usual WSK format with qualifying practice scheduled for Friday with the first qualifying heats, followed by Saturday entirely dedicated to heats and on Sunday the Pre-finals and Finals. The live timing will be active from Friday morning, while the live streaming on the WSK official website is scheduled for the final day on Sunday.

CRG drivers’ expectations

Gabriel Gomez (OK): "This will be a very useful weekend because in September the FIA World Championship which is the most important event of the season for International Karting will take place on the same track. We will have spring temperatures, and this will allow us to carry out a good work program, continuing the development path that the team carried out in the first races of the year. I really like the track and I think our chassis-engine package can express itself very well on this type of circuit”.

Jeremy Iglesias (KZ): “In the first 2 WSK races which took place this year, both in Lonato, we had some" ups and downs "in terms of performance, because we tested different types of chassis and set up, carrying out a normal job for the first seasonal rounds. Here in Sarno we have the opportunity to make use of all the experience gained from a technical point of view and our goal will be to fight for the podium. We are also aware that the TM engines supplied by Galiffa represent a further strength and play a decisive role on this fast track. The whole team is working well and in the right direction to get ready for the FIA events, but also to transfer our technical know-how to the external teams and CRG dealers who, with our own chassis, face the National Championships that start right in these weeks".
