The Euro 4 Championship at the Temple of Speed for the second round of the season

Thirty drivers ready to race at Monza in the series promoted by ACI Sport and WSK Promotion, which, after the success at the Mugello Circuit, sees Ugo Ugochukwu leading the standings

Rome, Monday, September 11th, 2023 - This weekend, the Euro 4 Championship will make the engines roar once again with the second round of the season at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. From September 15th to 17th, 30 drivers will compete to excel in the new Formula 4 series promoted by ACI Sport and WSK Promotion, in the second of the three rounds of the season. In the inaugural event at the Mugello Circuit, held in the first half of July, it was Ugo Ugochukwu, the junior McLaren driver from Prema Racing, who claimed the most favorable results. It was an almost perfect weekend for him, securing victory twice and finishing second on the podium once in the three races. The top duel remained within Prema, with Australian Ferrari Driver Academy James Wharton winning the last Tuscan race, establishing himself as the main rival, followed in the standings by the American driver from US Racing, Akshay Bohra.

Joining the battle in Monza is Team Cram Motorsport, making its debut in the series with Italian driver Flavio Olivieri and Hong Kong driver Kai Daryanani, both already part of the lineup fielded by the Rosei brothers' Team in the Spanish F4 series. There are several new entries in the Euro 4 Championship as well. Freddie Slater makes his debut with PREMA Racing. After his karting successes, the English driver participated in the British Formula 4 this summer before heading to Monza. The Grisignano di Zocco Team is fielding a roster of 8 cars, including the aforementioned Ugochukwu, Wharton, and Slater, as well as Red Bull junior driver Arvid Lindblad, Ferrari Driver Academy drivers Tuukka Taponen and Aurelia Nobels, Emirati driver Rashid Al Dhaheri, and Tuscan driver Nicola Lacorte. AKM Motorsport also introduces the Australian driver Kamal Mrad alongside Italian driver Davide Larini, Swiss driver Tina Hausmann, and Mexican driver Diego De La Torre. The round at Monza's iconic Temple of Speed will be the debut in the Euro 4 for Peruvian driver Rafael Modonese, who will be at the wheel of a Tatuus with the colors of Van Amersfoort Racing, along with Italian driver Brando Badoer, Portuguese driver Ivan Domingues, Danish driver Frederick Lund, French driver Pablo Sarrazin, Uzbek driver Ismail Akhmed, and Australian driver Jack Beeton.

Finally, PHM Racing also field a series debutant, Italian driver Giacomo Pedrini, alongside the Thai driver Nandavhud Bhirombakdhi. US Racing's lineup remains unchanged, ready to battle with Bohra, Polish driver Kacper Sztuka, Maltese-Filipino driver Zachary David, Chinese driver Ruiqi Liu, and Australian driver Gianmarco Pradel. Sicilian Alfio Spina will also be present, representing BVM Racing alongside Australian Griffin Pebbles.

The second round of the Euro 4 Championship promises to be rich in spectacle, in a series that is already obtaining considerable success in its first edition, with 7 Teams and 30 drivers from 19 different nations ready to compete for victory.

The weekend's schedule includes two 40-minute free practice sessions starting on Friday, September 15th, at 9:45 and 13:50. On Saturday, September 16th, the day begins with two 15-minute qualifying sessions at 8:30 and 8:55, followed by Race 1, lasting 30 minutes + 1 lap, starting at 14:45. On Sunday, September 17th, it's time for Race 2, lasting 30 minutes + 1 lap, at 10:30, and then Race 3, also lasting 30 minutes + 1 lap, at 17:35.
