The CRG Racing Team at the WSK Master Series
After the first contact with the track for some CRG drivers who took part in the WSK Champions Cup in Lonato last weekend, this week the official CRG Team will be busy, again on the Lombard track, in the 1st round of the WSK Super Master Series. The championship will be structured over 4 rounds and will include, in addition to the Lonato track, also the Cremona, Franciacorta and Sarno circuits.
The WSK Master Series is a classic early-season event and will end in the short period between the end of January and the beginning of March. For the international karting drivers and teams, these ones will be important races to prepare for the FIA events season and to evaluate the 2024 materials through direct comparison on the track. These races also represent a great opportunity for the drivers to find the right working feeling with the technical staff, especially for those making their debut with a new team, or moving up a category and needing to grind km on the track to settle in and give their 100%.
The CRG Racing Team will be on track in Lonato with 16 drivers divided into the 4 categories competing in the race. Markas Silkunas, Jacob Micallef, Guillaume Bouzar, Louis Iglesias and Tom Dussol will defend the colors of the Factory Team in the OK category; in OK-Junior there will be Sakai Ryutaro, Manuel Miguez, Vanesa Silkunaite, Asher Ochstein and François Kerdal, while Filippo Fiorentino will be attending the event in the KZ class. The Mini team will also be among the protagonists on the track with 5 drivers: Matteis Stigsen, Enzo Stambaugh, Jason Kosmopoulos, Ludvig Bjaroy and Shin Kitamura.
The event program will come to life on Friday after Free Practice with Qualifying Practice and the first Eliminatory Heats. Saturday will be entirely dedicated to the Heats and the Prefinals and Finals are scheduled for Sunday.
To follow the action on the track, the Live Timing service will be available as usual from Friday morning on, and the live Streaming for the final day on Sunday.
CRG drivers’ expectations:
Guillaume Bouzar (OK): “Last weekend we did the first shakedown of the season, collecting a lot of useful data from a technical point of view. We are trying out some new features on accessories and also on the engine and the weather last weekend had a huge impact on our work. This week the weather seems to be much better and temperatures will be higher; therefore, I expect to be able to complete the work program we have set ourselves and to have a good race".
François Kerdal (OK Junior): “This weekend I will make my seasonal debut and I can't wait to get on track for the first Free Practice. The team has planned a technical work program and this will be the priority objective of the first races, but obviously, we will also try to bring home a good result and start this exciting season in the best way possible".
