The 2024 edition of the 24 Hours Karting of Italy has been unveiled

CRG has revealed its plans for the 7th edition of the 24 Hours Karting of Italy, the prestigious Karting Endurance meeting which has become a must among Rental Kart International fans. Two confirmations above all: the location, which once again sees the 7 Laghi track in Castelletto di Branduzzo in Italy hosting the event and the date - March, 16th and 17th,  which places this appointment as the first major Rental event of the 2024 Endurance season.

CRG also confirmed all the strong points of the event from an organizational point of view, starting from the use of its CRG Centurion karts equipped with a 390cc Honda engine and supplied to the teams with the drawing lots formula. A brand new fleet of 50 karts will be set up and the technical assistance service on the track will be organized using technical staff from the racing department, so as to guarantee the teams maximum professionalism. The services reserved for the teams will also be, as usual, of a high level: each team will have a pit box structure set up for them to be used and a hotel will be available on the track next to the paddock area, where the teams will be able to have a support room.

The flagship of the event has always been the media promotion by the Organization and the 2024 edition of this fascinating karting marathon will also enjoy an impressive live streaming with 4 blocks of 4 hours each, broadcast live from the circuit with commentary and interviews with the protagonists from a TV studio set up in the paddock area.

The 24 Hours Karting of Italy will be a great show, both inside the track where over 40 teams from all over the world will fight against each other and in the paddock as well, with many side activities with music, entertainment, and the positioning of some giant screens.

For what concerns the race regulation, the 2024 edition will always include two categories (PRO and SILVER) and the usual freedom in terms of strategies for team managers, who will only have to observe a few simple rules, such as the 30 mandatory driver changes for the PRO category and 35 driver changes for the SILVER one, with no limits on driving time in individual stints for drivers. The teams must be made up of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 drivers with a minimum age requirement of 14 years and a minimum weight of 60kg. The weights will be equated with the ballast system that the drivers will have to use based on their weight in racing clothing.

Among many confirmations of a winning format, the 2024 edition will also include a significant innovation: all teams will have to make at least 4 mandatory kart changes, 2 in the first 12 hours of the race and 2 in the second part of the event. This rule, introduced to mediate any small differences in performance between different karts, will also clearly influence the strategies and will be managed by the individual team managers.

The entry fee for the event has been confirmed as Euro 2,600.00 + VAT and will include all the technical and logistical services of the race weekend, while on Friday there will be optional Free Practice from 2.00 PM to 6.00 PM. Registration for the event has opened on Monday, November 27th, and will close when 42 available places are reached.
