Tereza Babickova ruled out of W Series race in Singapore due to injury

W Series, the international single-seater motor racing championship for women drivers, today announces that Tereza Babickova (Puma W Series Team, 19, CZE) will not take part in the seventh race of the 2022 season in Singapore on 30 September-2 October due to injury.

While competing in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) on 10 September, Tereza sustained a spinal injury during an incident in the first race of the weekend at the Red Bull Ring, Spielberg, Austria.

Tereza has returned to her native Czech Republic where she is receiving medical treatment. Doctors have ruled her out of all racing activities until further notice. In addition to the W Series race at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, Singapore, Tereza will also miss the Formula 3 test at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, France, which she was due to take part in on 16-17 September.

An announcement regarding Tereza's replacements for both events, as well as updates on her condition, will be made in due course. Everybody at W Series wishes Tereza well, and a full and speedy recovery.
