The penultimate event of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine season kicked off today in Zandvoort with the first round of pre-collective testing conducted under rainy conditions. Tim Tramnitz (R-ace GP) emerged as the fastest during the 90-minute timed session, clocking the best time of 1:43.564 in the closing moments, surpassing the current championship leader, Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Prema Racing), who had led for a significant portion of the session.

Monza‘s first race of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine delivered a series of twists and turns, both during the race and after the checkered flag. Crossing the finish line first was championship leader Andrea Kimi Antonelli of Prema Racing, who showcased his prowess with two impressive overtakes. Antonelli passed his pole-sitting teammate Rafael Camara at the Roggia chicane and later surged past Marcus Amand (ART Grand Prix) while he was leading the race, during the initial stages. However, Antonelli received a 10-second penalty for an early use of the push-to-pass system, dropping him out of the points zone.

Prema Racing‘s Rafael Camara delivered a remarkable performance this morning, storming to an electrifying pole position during the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine qualifying session at Monza. Camara posted the fastest lap time in the closing moments of the Group B session, achieving his third pole and matching his teammate, as well as the championship leader, Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
