The event was supported by the GTC Race. The sports car racing series has been a partner of the DKM since this year and awards a GT4 test drive to the overall winner of the DSKC.

The Erftlandring in Kerpen is the venue for the fourth event of the German Kart Championship this coming weekend and could prove to be groundbreaking in the title fight. The supporting programme will once again feature the youngsters of the Mini 60 Series by Chrono Karting. The title sponsor is GTC Race - the sports car series has been a partner of the DKM since the beginning of the year and supports the championship with a GT4 test drive.

The first round of the FIA Karting European Championship - KZ & KZ2, as well as the FIA Karting Academy Trophy, benefited from ideal conditions during Qualifying Practice on the afternoon of Friday 13th May in Belgium. Sunny skies and a pleasant temperature close to 20° made for a high quality and very sporting confrontation on the Genk circuit. David Trefilov (DEU) in KZ2, Guillaume Bouzar (LUX) in Academy and Emilien Denner (FRA) in KZ managed their sessions perfectly to take the three pole positions of the day.
