The 2024 season of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine comes to a close with another victory for champion Rafael Camara (Prema Racing). The Ferrari Driver Academy driver wraps up his year in the best way possible, cementing his status as the record-holder in this championship.

A highly competitive and intense second test session unfolded today at the Red Bull Ring, the stage for the eighth round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. The drivers on track this afternoon found a circuit that progressively dried out after the heavy rain that fell yesterday and earlier this morning.

The second round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine at Spa Francorchamps concludes with a double victory for Rafael Camara. A perfect weekend for the Prema Racing team driver, who, after securing his fifth pole position in the series this morning, confirmed the predictions by claiming his third win of the season. This is the second consecutive victory for the Brazilian driver, increasing his lead in the championship standings, where he now holds a significant advantage over his competitors with 93 points.

With 11 leading teams and a grid of 33 cars the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine is ready to be back on the track the upcoming weekend, for the opening round at Hockenheim. The Championship promoted by ACI Sport and Alpine Racing, chosen every year by many high-profile drivers as a fundamental step in a succesful carreer, will involve also this year a quality driver pool, with many of them backed by various academies.

The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine has officially fired up its engines for the start of the 2024 season, which, as per tradition, kicks off at the Barcelona circuit, where today the first preseason collective test took place.
