Rocco Coronel was announced Wednesday by Red Bull as a new driver for its talent program. The 13-year-old karter and son of racing driver Tom Coronel have been admired on international karting tracks for years and also caught the eye of Red Bull. Recently, Rocco Coronel participated in a test in Jerez de la Frontera in Spain under the watchful eye of Helmut Marko and that gave Red Bull the final push. The newly formed Red Bull Academy Programme is supporting F1 Academy by sponsoring three drivers and their cars who will compete in the 2024 F1 Academy Season for MP Motorsport.

Hitech GP has confirmed Red Bull Junior Team driver Souta Arao in its line-up for the 2023 GB3 Championship season. The 17-year-old Japanese racer, who is also a member of Honda’s junior programme, most recently competed in the French F4 Championship in 2022, winning three races and taking seven additional podium finishes on his way to third overall. His victories came with impressive drives at Pau, Spa-Francorchamps and Paul Ricard in his first season of single-seater racing.
