The OMP brand confirmed as exclusive supplier for the FIA Karting Academy Trophy

Racing Force Group is pleased to confirm that its OMP brand has been selected by the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) as the exclusive supplier of suits and apparel for the drivers competing in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy Junior and FIA Karting Academy Trophy Senior championships for the three-year period 2025-2027.

Karting Champions League 2024 Calendar

The new Karting Champions League is proud to present the 2024 calendar. The first race weekend will be in April at Wackersdorf in Germany. This is followed by a weekend in Rudskogen in Norway in May. Then back to Germany to Mülsen, and before the summer holidays mid-July, we will travel to Spain to Valencia. After the summer the Karting Champions League will go north to Denmark to Rødby, and in the autumn we will be in France at Angerville and then to Belgium (TBC). The eighth and last race will be in (hopefully) sunny Spain in Campillos. At the end of the 2024 season, the winner of the K2 (class will race the 2025 season in the Spanish F4 championship with MP Motorsport, the initiator of the Karting Champions League.

Hotly contested qualifying heats at Rødby

The competition was fierce during the Qualifying Heats on the new circuit in Rødby, Denmark. Kean Nakamura-Berta (GBR) and Alex Powell (JAM) occupied the top two positions in the OK category, while Iacopo Martinese (ITA) took the lead in OK-Junior. The selection will continue on Sunday morning during the Super Heats, while two Qualifying Heats are still to be contested in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy. Santino Panetta (ARG) and Vasileios Apostolidis (GRC) are currently level on points at the top of the standings.

Three new polemen in Denmark

Under cloudy skies but on a dry track, Qualifying at Rødby rewarded three new drivers. Poland's Maciej Gladysz was fastest in OK, Spain's Christian Costoya took the OK-Junior pole position in the third round of the FIA Karting European Championship and Dutchman Rocco Coronel headed the Academy Trophy drivers.
