The FIA Karting European Championship got underway in Spain for the OK and OK-Junior categories. Dry weather accompanied the competitors for four days. The drivers positioned on the front row in the Final and equipped with KR chassis experienced racing incidents and were unfortunately unable to confirm their competitiveness. While Joe Turney scored important points in the OK Championship, where he finished 2nd, Bosco Arias (DPK Racing) put in a brilliant finish in OK-Junior to climb to 3rd place on the podium.

When many drivers arrived at the Franciacorta Karting Track to take part in the opening round of the 2023 WSK Euro Series, they were already looking ahead to the World Championship in the OK and OK-Junior categories, which will be contested on the same Italian circuit in October. 

The last race of the 2021 Euro Series saw the return of the Home of Champions to the series calendar. While technically a summer weekend, it was one where the weather affected every race in that Northern part of Europe!
