Excitement right down to the finish: Taylor Barnard (18/GBR/PHM Racing) came through an exciting race in ADAC Formula 4 to take a narrow victory over team-mate Nikita Bedrin (ITA) on Sunday. Behind them, Valentin Kluss (15/Bad Mergentheim/PHM Racing) snatched third place and his first podium in the final metres at the DEKRA Lausitzring. “It is unbelievable that I managed to win from eighth on the grid. ADAC Formula 4 goes into its seventh year in 2021. There will once again be a total of 21 races contested over seven events timed to coincide with the ADAC GT Masters weekends. On the technical side, the junior series has opted for continuity, with Formula 1 supplier Pirelli retained as exclusive tyre partner. ADAC Formula 4 will continue to offer talented youngsters from Germany and abroad a competitive platform for entering the world of formula racing in the coming year. The curtain-raiser to the seventh season of the series will get underway on the weekend of 14th - 16th May 2021 at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.
 

ADAC F4 Championship drama at the Lausitzring: Victor Bernier wins, Tim Tramnitz is 2020 Best Rookie

French teenager Victor Bernier (16, R-ace GP) registered his second ADAC Formula 4 victory of the season in a spectacular third race at the DEKRA Lausitzring on Sunday, while British driver Jonny Edgar (16, Van Amersfoort Racing) further cemented his title claim by finishing fourth. After a dramatic DNF for his team-mate and main rival Jak Crawford (15, USA), who won the second round on Sunday morning, Edgar now takes a 23-point advantage into the grand finale next weekend at Oschersleben. Meanwhile, joy knew no bounds for Tim Tramnitz (15, Germany, US Racing) as the ADAC Sports Foundation protégé clinched the Best Rookie classification ahead of time with two strong performances on Sunday.
 

Hofer and Haase win rain-affected thriller at the Lausitzring ahead of Indy Dontje and Maxi Götz

Klettwitz: Saturday's ADAC GT Masters race at the Lausitzring was suspenseful right up to the last few metres. The Audi pairing of Max Hofer (21, AUT) and Christopher Haase (33, GER, both Montaplast by Land Motorsport) won by a margin of only 0.147 seconds ahead of Indy Dontje (27, NL) and Maximilian Götz (34, GER) in the Mercedes-AMG of Mann-Filter-Team HTP-Winward. Robert Renauer (35, GER, Precote Herberth Motorsport), partnered this time by Klaus Bachler (29, AUT), kept his title hopes alive with a P3 finish.
