Drivers from three different continents and representing three different teams shared the victories as the Formula Winter Series got underway with a triple-header at Jerez. Andres Cardenas of Peru and Campos Racing grabbed race one on Saturday. Then Griffin Peebles of Australia and MP Motorsport won race two on Sunday morning before home driver Juan Cota led a DriveX 1-2 in the final race of the weekend.

René Lammers has traded his Parolin-kart for a Formula 4 car of MP Motorsport. The 15-year-old talented driver from Zandvoort presented his car this week in his own backyard, on the Zandvoort F1 circuit. In 2023 René became European Champion in OK and second in the World Championship driving for Parolin Motorsport. This year he made the step to the Spanish Formula 4. The 2023 FDA Scouting World Finals was one of the most closely contested of all time. In terms of the results, both on track and when it came to the various attitudinal tests, four of the six drivers were pretty much at the same level and therefore, it was not easy for the Ferrari Driver Academy experts to choose a winner. In the end, that honour went to Dutchman René Lammers, who was also the least experienced of the bunch.

Three new entries and an old acquaintance are the protagonists of the second scouting camp organized by the Ferrari Driver Academy together with ACI (Automobile Club of Italy) that kicked off in Maranello. Four drivers born in 2007 and 2008 are involved, Italians Emanuele Olivieri and Mattia Colnaghi, Dutchman - son of ex-F1-driver and 24H of Le Mans-winner Jan Lammers - René Lammers and Latvian Tomass Stolcermanis, who was already among the protagonists of a camp at Fiorano in 2022.

René Lammers has started the FIA European karting championship with a podium. This season the 14-year-old driver from Zandvoort moved from OK Junior to the highest category in karting and is showing his great potential in the OK-class! He finished in third position in the OK class at the Kartodromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero near Valencia in the first round of the FIA European Championship.
