In 2020, the German Electric Kart Championship (DEKM) is already starting into its third season and offering numerous highlights again. All five racing events are going to take place in Germany this time. The DEKM is going to start in Wackersdorf twice. Due to a new E-kart by technical partner BRP-Rotax, the participants can look forward to more power and longer race durations.

The kick-off to the German Kart Championship 2020 season is going to happen on January 6^th at 12 o’clock with the start of the online registration. Interested drivers can register for the four grade series DKM (OK), DJKM (OK-Junior), DSKM (KZ2) and DSKC (KZ2) on the website www.kart-dm.de. The racing calendar consists of five races spread over Germany and Belgium.

186 participants from all over the world are at Kerpen this weekend and drive the half-time races of the German Kart Championship. The 1.107m long Erftlandring has been a part of the highest German kart racing series for decades and still has a special flair. Unlike some of the new tracks, this one is especially challenging and demands full concentration. In the past, there were always several surprises regarding the fights for victory in Kerpen. 
 

After a nine-week-long break, the participants of the German Kart Championship are going to start on the Erftlandring in Kerpen now. The venerable track has been a constant part of the DKM racing calendar for years and always poses a special challenge. Formula 1 record World Champion Michael Schumacher and four-time Formula 1 World Champion and DKM patron Sebastian Vettel already began their motorsports careers there. In the DEKM, DTM-driver Ferdinand Habsburg is going to start as a popular guest driver. 

This weekend the participants of the German Kart Championship are ready for the second round. With more than 200 participants, the highest German kart racing series has got a record field of participants with its four grade series DKM, DJKM, DSKM and DSKC took place in Italian Lonato. In Wackersdorf, the German Electric Kart Championship (DEKM) is now going to be added – the only pure electric kart racing series starting into its second season.
