Kart Republic: Two one-twos in the opening round of the European Championship

With the Prema Racing team and IAME engines, KR chassis dominated the first of four rounds of the FIA Karting European Championships in OK and OK-Junior. At Campillos in Spain, the results of the two Finals spoke for themselves: Noah Baglin won brilliantly in the youngest category ahead of his team-mate Dean Hoogendoorn and James Anagnostiadis triumphed in OK, while Dries Van Langendonck secured a second double for the Kart Republic factory.

Before the Super Heats and Finals gave their verdict on the Spanish circuit of Campillos, the Qualifying Heats rearranged the rankings. A new leader emerged in OK-Junior in the form of Britain's Noah Baglin, while Switzerland's Chiara Battig proved herself unbeatable in the intermediate rankings, following her superb pole position on Friday.

As the 2025 Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship - OK & Junior got underway on Friday 4th April at the Campillos International Kart Center, the Qualifying sessions were eagerly awaited to provide an initial overview of the season’s talents. Despite threatening skies, with an occasional few drops of rain, the 173 drivers were able to use slick tyres from the first to the last session. In southern Spain, Chiara Battig (SUI) took pole position in the OK class, while Iskender Zulfikari (TUR) was fastest in the OK-Junior class.
