There is a new addition to our roster of young, talented drivers, as Carrie Schreiner is announced as the team’s contender in the 2024 F1 Academy series. The 25-year-old German driver will be representing the team in the second season of the all-female series, racing one of the Campos Racing entries in the Sauber team’s colours.

The ADAC Formula Junior Team will be travelling to Nogaro for the season-opener in the French Formula 4 championship from 8th to 10th April. Max Reis (Ramstein) will mark the start of his second year at the 3.6-kilometre circuit in south-western France, while Tom Kalender (Hamm/Sieg) and Finn Wiebelhaus (Obertshausen) will be celebrating their racing debuts in the Formula 4 car.

The DEKM 2022 season starts with several new features: BRP-Rotax, the official partner of the DEKM, providing the E-Karts and a team of specialists for the coordination and support on sites, has developed a new category which means that the DEKM 2022 is now coming with Junior and Senior class. Furthermore, the E-Karts are equipped with the MOJO D5 and W5 tires.

The newly developed “Project E20” electric kart from BRP-Rotax is probably the most important “asset” in this year’s DEKM season. “More power, a longer battery life and a reduced weight boost the performance of the German Electric Kart Championship to a whole new level,” says Oliver Schielein, Managing Director of IKmedia, the promoter of the series. During the first test drives, the new e-kart received an extremely enthusiastic reception from drivers. “We now want to ensure that we do not endanger the success of our most important asset by starting off with the handbrake engaged,” says Schielein.
