Two FIA Karting wins for Kart Republic with Turney in OK and Martinese in OK-Junior

In France, the KR Motorsport team emerged victorious from the second round of the European Championship, in both OK and OK-Junior. Making the right choices at the right time is one of the strengths of the Italian brand, which demonstrated its ability to adapt to all weather conditions. Joe Turney and Iacopo Martinese dominated the proceedings on the Val d'Argenton circuit, a track no one was even familiar with a few weeks ago. The Briton is now the Championship leader in OK, while the Italian has moved up to 3rd in OK-Junior.

The weather played an important role in the running of the FIA Karting Val d'Argenton Event. After the changeable and wet weather of the first two days, the sun shone on Sunday and all the races took place on a dry track. Joe Turney (GBR) continued his domination of the OK class to the Final, as did Iacopo Martinese in OK-Junior. Jakub Gasparovic (SVK) won the first 2024 Final of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy.

For their very first competition in the FIA Karting categories on the French circuit of Val d'Argenton, the KR chassis demonstrated their effectiveness and quality of adaptation. The second round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series was not without its challenges, but the hard work put in by the teams using the KR-IAME package put the drivers on the right track.

Franciacorta: Birel ART back on top in OK with Olivieri

At Franciacorta, the final round of the 2023 Champions of the Future Euro Series confirmed the positive development of Birel ART in OK. Emanuele Olivieri put in a solid performance in the top three of the class before finishing 6th in the Final. A number of setbacks prevented Matheus Morgatto, Joel Bertgström and Aaron Garcia from reaping the rewards of their good race pace, but the overall result remains very encouraging. The development work continued throughout the weekend in OK-Junior.
