Officially taking over the sponsorship of the WKA Eagle Program for National Champions effective immediately, the WKA Summit Racing Equipment National Champions' Eagle, will be distributed to all WKA National Championships across all series. "The WKA Eagle has always been one of the most revered awards in Karting,” explained WKA President Kevin Williams. “Reinvigorating this tradition has been a goal of the WKA Planners for a while, and now we can bring it back as the staple of accomplishment on the national stage. We have always looked to bring back the prestige of this award and are determined to do so with the help of Summit Racing Equipment.” Along with the newly named Eagle award, the prestigious ‘Summit Racing Equipment Eagle’ trophy will be on display at several Summit Racing Equipment retail outlets across the country to help spread the presence and perception of karting as well as North America’s longest-running national championship program. “As fellow enthusiasts and competitors in many forms of motorsport, the team at Summit Racing Equipment is thrilled to support the WKA and its racers,” said Al Noe, Summit Racing Equipment Chief Marketing Officer. “We understand the time, dedication, and skill it takes to win a National Championship, and we are honored to be part of this prestigious award.” Williams continued, “On top of the newly named award is the commitment that our valued partners at Summit Racing Equipment have extended to Karting to ensure drivers who accomplish a National Championship are properly recognized."
