Suleiman Zanfari sets 2023 as the year for Formula 3 Regional
On the long road from karting to Formula 1, young Moroccan driver Suleiman Zanfari has chosen to go via the Formula 3 Regional Eurocup 3. After two seasons in F4 Spain with MP Motorsport, Suleiman needed to take the next step before joining the FIA F3.
"At 17 years of age, I had several options to continue my ascent in single-seaters," explains Suleiman. "I decided to go for the Eurocup 3 in Formula 3 Regional, which promises to be a very interesting programme with circuits used in F1 Grand Prix. Some great teams are already involved and I am delighted to have my place with Campos Racing, the team that won F4 Spain last year."
Suleiman is the first Moroccan driver to race at this level, as well as the only competitor from the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. Suleiman, who finished 7th in Spanish F4 in 2022, is aiming for a top five finish in Eurocup 3 this year. In addition to his integration into the Campos Racing team, he benefits from the support of a competent and structured team to allow him to develop his natural talent.
