Spanish F4: Jenic and Ogaard close the season in style

Filip Jenic took his first victory in the second race this weekend. The Serbian rider, who started from third position, moved up two positions at the start to take the lead at the end of the first lap.

Behind him, Koen and Degnbol managed to get second and third positions before the safety car came out. As was the case in the first race, the safety car compacted the field. As a result, the race time was reduced to less than ten minutes.

Jenic managed to defend his first position on the restart, opening up a gap of almost two seconds, which eventually earned him the victory. Neither Rik Koen nor Noah Degnbol were able to keep up with the pace of the Teo Martín driver, who scored the first victory for the Spanish team in the Spanish Formula 4 Championship.

In the third race it was Sebastian Ogaard who climbed to the top of the podium. The Danish Campos Racing driver was playing for the runner-up position and he didn’t fail. With a 23-point lead, he overtook Martí at the start to take the lead.

After Alejandro García’s incident which forced the safety car to come out, Pepe Martí tried to overtake his teammate on the outside, but went off the track while trying to carry out the manoeuvre. Martí was then relegated to sixth place, from where he could only move up to fourth.

Noah Degnbol was the one who, after Pepe went off the track, threatened Ogaard’s first position. The MP Motorsport driver was looking for his first win of the season until the last lap, however, he could not cope with the pace set by his compatriot.

Ogaard crossed the finish line in first position to take his fifth win of the season. Maksim Arkhangelskii completed the podium to reap his second podium this season.

Final drivers’ standings:

1 Dilano Van’t Hoff
2 Sebastian Ogaard
3 Pepe Marti
