Sodi increases its presence at the top of the KZ2 rankings

With almost a third of the field equipped with French chassis, Sodi was by far the most represented brand in KZ2 at La Conca for the second and final round of the WSK Open Series. A regular at the front, Emilien Denner was undoubtedly one of the protagonists of the meeting. A superb 2nd in the Final, he returned to 3rd in the Championship, while Senna Van Walstijn secured 2nd place. Thanks to Mattéo Spirgel and Giuseppe Palomba, the French brand placed four chassis in the top 10 of both the Final and the Championship.

With the logistical support of the CPB Sport team, the Sodi-TMs once again demonstrated their exceptional competitiveness in the south of Italy, where temperatures were much higher than at the start of the season. After finishing 3rd in Qualifying, Denner secured victory and 2nd place in the Qualifying Heats. With the help of Van Walstijn, Sodi monopolised the three fastest laps in the race.

Spirgel then took 3rd place in the Prefinal, just ahead of Denner. Van Walstijn, delayed by a retirement in the first heat, regained nine places, Palomba moved up to 8th and Arthur Poulain brought the number of Sodi in the top 10 to five. Denner fought hard for overall victory, finishing less than 3 tenths behind the winner. Spirgel confirmed his 5th position while Van Walstijn made up another five places in 7th ahead of Palomba to ensure that four Sodi were in the top 10.

Significant double podium in WSK Open Series

A heroic winner at Franciacorta, Van Walstijn managed to grab 7th place at La Conca at the end of a weekend that was not without its setbacks, and became runner-up in the series ahead of Denner, who moved up five places. The overall result for Sodi was flattering, with three drivers in the top five thanks to Spirgel, not forgetting Palomba's 7th place. This is a very positive sign at a time when the season is about to enter its second half and the deadlines are becoming increasingly important. Everything is falling into place for the eagerly awaited opening of the European KZ and KZ2 Championships in Spain. The work of the technical team and the quality of the drivers make Sodi a major player in the competitions to come.
