Sodi domination in Italy at the WSK Final Cup

The last series of the season, the WSK Final Cup was organised over three meetings in Italy. Sodikart dominated the three meetings with two different drivers in KZ2. Bas Lammers first won at Lonato with the Sodi Racing Team, then Adrien Renaudin took over at Castelletto and Adria with the CPB Sport team. The young French driver won the WSK Final Cup with a lead of almost 100 points, which reflects the performance of the Sodi chassis at the end of the year.

At Lonato, the magnificent victory by Bas Lammers was completed by the excellent performances of his team-mate Anthony Abbasse, the leader of Qualifying but unfortunately delayed at the beginning of the Final. Present first and foremost to advance the production of the Sodikart factory, the factory team then passed the baton to its satellite team CPB Sport for the rest of the programme. The reigning European Champion, Adrien Renaudin did not waste the Castelletto meeting, adding a hint of suspense in the Final. Admirably recovering from 6th place, he won a notable victory.

For the last event at Adria, the weather was wet throughout the weekend. Very comfortable in these slippery conditions, Adrien exploited all the resources of his Sodi chassis to dominate the competition. After taking pole position, he won two of the three Qualifying Heats and widened the gap in the Prefinal. He flew ahead of the Final to win the race with a more than 15'' lead. He shared the fastest laps in the race with his team-mate Ariel Levi, who came in 4th in the Final, while Jean Nomblot took 5th place. Adrien won the Championship handsomely to finish a successful season in KZ2.

Adrien will move into the top category next year by joining Anthony Abbasse in the Sodi Racing Team. This promotion has delighted the young driver, who is already looking forward to facing the biggest names of the discipline. Trained in Paul Bizalion's CPB Sport team, he is now well equipped to take on a new challenge at the wheel of the high-performance kart which he has at his fingertips. He will be an additional asset for Sodikart in the search for top international results. The results gained by the French brand in recent weeks foresee a successful season to come.
