Sam Woolley joins the Kalì Kart Team
The Kalì Kart Racing Team is pleased to welcome Sam Woolley who will join the team for the OK Junior category. The English driver was born in Urmstom, Manchester in September 2010 and began racing go-karts at the age of 8 in the Mini categories, achieving many notable results at national level. His first international experiences were made in the X30 Junior category in which, at the beginning of this season, he won the Hivern Cup Spain and obtained P2 in the Winter Cup of Valencia.
For Sam, the move to the official Kalì Kart team means taking a new step in his career by debuting in FIA races. The first event in which he will take part will be the European Championship in Slovakia next June and after that he will be among the protagonists of the OK Junior World Championship which will take place on his home track, the PFI in England.
Sam has already taken part in a testing day with the Kalì Kart team and in order to begin his journey of understanding the technical staff, the working methodologies and the new material, he will take part in the WSK Open race in the OK- N Junior category scheduled on the Franciacorta track the first week of April.
This is how the young English driver commented on the move to the Kalì Kart team:
“The opportunity that has arisen to join the Kalì Kart Factory Team will allow me to enter a second phase of my experience in karting, taking part in the international OK-Junior races within a highly experienced team with great technical means. The first important event for me will be the European Championship race in Slovakia, but obviously, I will carry out a specific preparation program for the race in England, where the World Championship will take place in September. The first feedback I had from the team was very positive, as was the performance, although now my main objective will be to learn as OK-Junior is a substantially new category for me”.
