Rotax supported by long-term chassis partners and a newcomer at the RMC Grand Finals in Portugal

Gunskirchen, Austria – BRP-Rotax is pleased to announce the Chassis Partners for the 2020s Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals. The 21st edition of this prestigious yearly karting event has changed date and location due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic and will take place as already announced in Portimão in Portugal, from January 23rd to 30th, 2021.

“We are happy to have our long-term chassis partners BirelART, IPKarting (Praga) and Sodikart as well as a newcomer, Charles Leclerc, on board, who will support us with their chassis and their competence”, says Peter Oelsinger, General Manager BRP-Rotax and Vice President Sales, Marketing RPS-Business & Communications. “As the logistical effort for bringing all the 380 chassis, engines, tools and equipment to the chosen spots in the world is a big challenge every year for the whole organization team, it is essential to have the right partners on your side for a smooth process. Even more so as we will be having 7 classes instead of 6 this year, adding the exciting Rotax Project E20 E-Kart category to this prestigious event.”

The Chassis partners will support following classes at the RMC Grand Finals 2020:

Charles Leclerc: Rotax 125 MAX Mini

BirelART: Rotax 125 MAX DD2

IPKarting (Praga): Rotax 125 MAX Micro and Rotax 125 MAX DD2 Masters

Sodikart: Rotax 125 MAX Junior, Rotax 125 MAX Senior and Rotax Project E20

For one week, 380 drivers from about 60 nations are in a truly tough competition. During this week, the drivers take the chance to compete with the best drivers of the world to be on the top of the podium.  The Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals offers a fair chance for everyone: all drivers take part with the same equipment, provided by BRP-Rotax and our chassis partners. And this makes this event so special: it is not the material that determines a win or the defeat – only the driver’s skill, nerves and strategy.
