Rotax strengthens its distribution network: new partner appointed for the Republic of Ireland

BRP-Rotax is excited to announce that the company Murray Motorsport has been appointed as the authorized distributor for the Republic of Ireland for Rotax karting products as of January 01, 2021. Up to now the territory of Ireland has been served by the UK distributor JAG, who has established a sales- and service network serving Irish customers over the past years and managed that Rotax MAX categories have been part of the national championship organized by the ASN Motorsport Ireland. With the UK leaving the European Union by end of 2020, JAG will not be able to serve the Irish market anymore. Therefore BRP-Rotax and JAG mutually agreed on the nomination of a new distributor for the territory of Ireland.

“We are convinced that with our new partner we will be able to further improve the service to our Irish customers and that the close cooperation between Murray Motorsport and Motorsport Ireland will increase the Rotax racing opportunities,” says Peter Ölsinger, General Manager BRP-Rotax / Member of the Management Board, Vice President Sales, Marketing RPS-Business & Communications. “A big thank you to JAG for their great support of the Irish customers in the past years and a warm welcome and lots of success for our new partner Murray Motorsports,” he added.

“We are delighted to be working directly with BRP-Rotax and distributing the Rotax brand within Ire-land. Rotax have pioneered the way in karting by introducing revolutionary concepts, this innovation is exactly the type of product that we enjoy working with,” said Eoin Murray, Director Murray Motor-sport. “We offer our Rotax customers in Ireland a next day delivery or collection at our new Dublin store,” he added.

All parties involved aim to make the transition as smooth as possible and to ensure customer support and continued supply of engines and spare parts also in this period.

Murray Motorsport was established in 1990 by Joe and Ann Murray. Their sons Eoin & Niall are company directors and are both experienced racers. Initially a workshop facility for competition cars, Murray Motor-sport expanded into sales in 1994 when they were appointed as Ireland’s first official Sparco distributor. Today they are proud to have been appointed distributors for most of the leading Motorsport & Karting brands. With a modern workshop facility, a purpose-built Motorsport showroom as well as an online store with a vast range of quality products they provide best possible service and a comprehensive range of products at competitive prices for their customers. They are hugely experienced in all aspects of Motor-sport and are more than happy to offer advice and guidance if required.
