Rotax Max Challenge Grand Festival 2021 Back on Track

As announced in late 2019, BRP-Rotax is collaborating with Chrono Karting BV in organizing and promoting the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Festival. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the 2020 event, unfortunately, had to be cancelled, but for 2021 both companies are excited to host the RMC Grand Festival this summer in Eindhoven from August 20th to 22nd.

The RMC Grand Festival is a racing event which takes place once a year and was created for the youngest Rotax kart racers, the Micro MAX and Mini MAX categories. It provides a unique opportunity for the top motivated “Youngsters” to battle themselves in a high-level environment with international participation.

“We are very glad to be able to host this event for our youngest members of the Rotax family, the Micro and Mini MAX drivers and give them the opportunity to gain more experience in racing against racers from all over the world. We are well aware about the Covid-19 situation and are following a strong protocol to keep our drivers, teams and participants safe and healthy”, stated Peter Oelsinger, General Manager BRP-Rotax / Member of the Management Board, VP Sales, Marketing, RPS-Business & Communications. “With Chrono Karting we have found the perfect partner for this event with a long-term experience in the organisation of racing series and events. We are confident that the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Festival 2021 will be an exciting event.”

Rotax 125 Micro and Mini MAX drivers from all over the world are allowed to participate in this event due to the changed rules by the FIA World Motor Sport Council who announced that drivers, who hold a national license can participate in national competitions outside their home countries (with permission from their local ASN).

As the Rotax Grand Festival is a national competition with international participation for these two categories only, the age limits are as follows:

Rotax 125 Micro MAX – age of 7 to 11 years (driver must have his/her 8th birthday during the year of the event and must have his/her 12th birthday after the year of the event)

Rotax 125 Mini MAX – age of 9 to 13 years (driver must have his/her 10th birthday during the year of the event and must have his/her 14th birthday after the year of the event)

“It is very dear to my heart to push the youngest race categories and give these not less enthusiastic, talented and motivated drivers a platform to participate on events outside their national series.  With the RMC Grand Festival, we offer an opportunity for the rookies and youngest racers to experience the international-format racing in a competitive field with other drivers from all over the world. We want to create an event that overall makes fun and gives the children an insight to professional and competitive racing which makes them ‘hungry for more’ and opens their heart to progress in motorsport”, said Gaby van de Burgt of Chrono Karting.

Registration for the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Festival 2021 is already open. Follow the link to the website: www.rotaxgrandfestival.com and book your seat!
