Rotax continues to further develop the Malaysian market and announces changes in the distributorship

Gunskirchen, Austria, BRP-Rotax together with EIKO Motorsport, the Rotax authorized distributor for the territories Japan, Taiwan, China, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Hongkong, Macau, Philippines and Malaysia would like to inform that they have decided to hand-over the distributorship for the territory of Malaysia by December 31st, 2021. The subsequent transfer of the business and the network to the new partner has been agreed and BRP-Rotax is pleased to inform that Amprex Racing Services Sdn Bhd will be the new partner for Malaysia. 

Amprex Racing Services Sdn Bhd will be responsible for the Malaysian territory from January 1st, 2022 onwards. All RMC racing activities, orders and aftersales will be conducted from Amprex Racing Services Sdn Bhd from this point.

Amprex Racing Services Sdn Bhd is headed by Mr. Genji Hashimoto, the owner and operator of the Morac Adventure Park, Langkawi and Morac Go Kart Track 1 Utama. Mr. Hashimoto is fully dedicated to further develop the Malaysian karting market together with Rotax and has already planned RMC race weekends that will consist of 12 rounds, thereof 8 rounds in Langkawi and 4 rounds in Sepang.

“Genji Hashimoto is already a well-known and respected name in the region and we are happy to have him on the Rotax Team for further developments of the market. We are certain that he will support our customers in the best way possible,” said Peter Oelsinger, General Manager BRP-Rotax / Member of the Management Board, Vice President Sales, Marketing RPS-Business & Communications. “We wish Mr. Hashimoto and his company Amprex Racing Services Sdn Bhd every success for the new responsibilities,” he continues.

All parties involved aim to make the transition as smooth as possible and to ensure customer support and continued supply of engines and spare parts also in this period.
