Rodby to host the Danish E-Kart Championship in august with Rotax Grand Finals Tickets to be won

Gunskirchen – The Danish E-Kart Championship is set to return for the third time to the Scandinavian country that is making the green transition as pioneers in clean energy. An international line-up is anticipated by race organisers in Denmark for the running of this year’s electric-powered event on August 9-11, with three classes of the CIK-FIA Approved Rotax E20 on the program. The venue is the 1,245-metre Rødby Karting Ring along the Baltic coastline. There are Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals tickets to be awarded to the winners in the E20 Senior and E20 Masters categories for the headline event in Sarno, Italy this October. The leading E20 Junior driver will receive a 5.000€ Rotax voucher.

Danish Karting League is the promoter of the Rotax E20 race, scheduled as part of the Danish Karting Championship at Rødby, authorized by the Danish Automobile Sports Union (DASU) and broadcast live on local TV. Last season the E-Kart event was very competitive with many close battles as competitors pushed their skills to the limit. This year, the challenging track layout will ensure more action-packed rivalry in the contest for the Danish E-Kart title and the great prizes. The CIK-FIA Homologated Rødby Karting Ring is a medium to high-speed circuit designed for international-level competition. At 1,250 metres with a width of 8-10 metres, it incorporates a lot of overtaking possibilities with a variety of different corners, hairpins and a long straight. Travel to the location is easy, whether to Copenhagen or Hamburg airports or directly by ferry from Puttgarden in Germany.

When we talk about competition, it’s all about the driver making the difference and their strategy. The only way to experience this amazing new alternative in sprint racing is to drive the Rotax E20 and feel the incredible power it delivers – with instantaneous acceleration, extra Boost feature ‘on demand’, well-balanced driveability and unequalled parity. The E-Kart package includes a Sodikart chassis [similar to Rotax DD2], with the direct drive concept, front brakes and a 50mm rear axle.

The first 18 drivers who register for the Danish E-Kart Championship will receive a bonus discount of 500€ / 3750DKR off their Rotax E20 ‘arrive & drive’ race package entry. In addition to the E-Kart, nearly everything is supplied, apart from the competitor’s racewear, practice tyres and tools. This includes pit space and workbench in the Rotax awning, a set of MOJO D5 race tyres, technical support from the Rotax team, data analysis and advice on how to have the most fun racing the E20. National and International licence holders are eligible to register, with a limit of 36 places available.

“We are very happy to organize the Danish E20 Championship for the third year. Denmark is a European frontrunner in green transition, which makes the Rotax E20 E-Kart a logical step in Danish Motorsport,” explains race promoter Robert Schluenssen. “I personally like that the driver skill is even more important when it comes to racing the E-Kart, as the electric powertrain is 100% equal. Last year, we had drivers from four different nations on the grid and I hope that we can have even more international entries for 2024. Together with the Danish Automobile Sports Union (DASU), we are fully committed to organise an even better event this time around to make it a most memorable experience for all the participants. The venue at Rødby is a modern and fast race track which was a selected venue on the European Karting Championship calendar in 2023. We are looking forward to welcome everyone to the seaside location in Denmark.”
