RMC Euro Trophy Winter Cup starts in Campillos

The international Rotax racing season is on the horizon. The wait will finally come to an end this weekend for numerous competitors from all over Europe. On the race track in Campillos, Spain, the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy Winter Cup will herald the start of the national season. Nearly 200 competitors will be putting the pedal to the metal on the 1,580-meter circuit located in the historical region of Andalusia along Spain’s southern coastline.

In 2023, the RMC Euro Trophy is looking forward to its sixth season. The championship traditionally kicks off the season in Campillos, Spain. The RMCET Winter Cup offers the best conditions for the first international battle – even before the duels for the championship rankings begin in this year's calendar of the renowned racing series.

The demanding track near Malaga provides optimal opportunity for exciting racing action. With many technical sections, undulating elevation and fast straights, the Circuito Karting Campillos is a real challenge for driver and machine alike.

In the five Rotax MAX categories aligned with the RMCET series, the participants will take to the track under the Spanish sun. The Senior MAX class is as strong as ever with 76 competitors in the fight for the first title of the year. The Junior MAX and Mini MAX classes also have considerable entries for the season opener with just under 40 entries each. 27 names currently fill the entry list for Rotax DD2, while nine veterans will aim to fulfil their ambitions in the DD2 Masters. And of course, good results pay off. The podium place-getters will receive free registration for the upcoming RMC Euro Trophy 2023 racing season.

The initial practice sessions will start in Campillos on Wednesday. The qualifying sessions on Friday is when things begin to get more serious. The qualifying races on Saturday will be followed by the finals of the best-placed drivers on Sunday. The events can be followed from anywhere via live timing and livestream at www.rotaxmaxchallenge-eurotrophy.com and also via the Rotax Global App (free download from the App Store or Google Play). In addition, all the latest news from the weekend can be found on the social media channels using the hashtag #rotaxmaxeurotrophy.
