Positive Changes Set for A-Maxx Racing WKA eSports Series Presented by Summit Racing Equipment Round Two on Monday

pril 30, 2020 – After a hugely successful opening event to the A-Maxx Racing WKA eSports Series Presented by Summit Racing Equipment, round two set for Monday night has undergone some positive changes. Set to increase the grid size from 42 to 64, more participants will be able to enter as heat races will ensure the top-forty compete in the main event and the chance at a host of race and championship prizes.
 
"The A-Maxx Racing WKA eSports Series presented by Summit Racing Equipment has been so much fun for everyone on the WKA Team and the racers who came to race,” explained Kevin Williams. “We've had positive responses from the racers, and even more demand for other racers to participate. And, the global viewership online has been amazing. We can't thank our participants, broadcasters, sponsors, and especially our dedicated WKA Team enough in making this first outing a success; and a ton of fun."

Round two of the series will take place at the Daytona International Speedway on Monday, May 4th. A detailed schedule is provided below:

    Event Start Time: 7:00pm EDT
    Practice: 45-minutes
    Qualifying: 15-minutes
    Broadcast Start Time: 8:00pm EDT
    Top 32-Qualifiers will transfer directly to the main event
    After Qualifying, the iRacing software will divide the remaining 32 racers into two heat races
    Heat 1: Ten-minutes or four laps. Top-four transfer to the main event and will slot in at the back of the grid.
    Heat 2: Ten-minutes or four laps. Top-four transfer to the main event and will slot in at the back of the grid.
    Main Event: 40-cars, 12-laps with maximum of 30-minutes of race time

Williams continued, “The broadcast will start at 8pm to cover the tail end of Qualifying, the heat races and the main event. This is a great way to provide our viewers more wheel-to-wheel action and less downtime.”
 
Moving forward, competitors looking to compete in the A-Maxx Racing WKA eSports Series Presented by Summit Racing Equipment will now need to register for the balance of the five-race series.
 
The A-Maxx Racing WKA eSports Series Presented by Summit Racing Equipment has gained so much attention after only one round that additional partners have increased the overall prize fund to include:

    Summit Racing Equipment $25 Gift Certificates to the top three finishers of each race.
    Louie's P&R Italian Market and Deli has upped the cash prizes for the Pole Winner and Race Winner.

May 4 - Race 2 - Daytona International Speedway Road Course
May 11 - Race 3 - Road America
May 18 - Race 4 - Sebring International Raceway
May 25 - Race 5 - Indianapolis Motor Speedway
