Podiums and successes from the start of the season for Sodikart

With a fine victory in Lonato in KZ2 in the new WSK Promotion series, Senna Van Walstijn confirmed the competitiveness of the Sodi chassis and the expertise of the Sodi Racing Team. Leader at the end of the heats and 5th in the Final, Émilien Denner completed the solid performance from the world's leading manufacturer in the WSK Open Series. Whether in a category with or without a gearbox, the Sodi chassis remains a reference on the international scene, since Nathan Tye in OK and Filippo Sala in OK-Junior showed their ambition two weeks before the start of the FIA European Karting Championship, at the Champions of the Future Euro Series in Valencia.

What a start to the international season for Sodikart! In this year 2023, which started in January in Italy, the colours of the French brand are shining brightly. At each of its outings, the duo composed of Senna Van Walstijn and Emilien Denner continues to move up the hierarchy. Already in the WSK Super Master Series, the brilliantly Frenchman finished 2nd in Lonato. Two weeks later in the same competition, but this time on the Franciacorta circuit, it was the turn of his Dutch team-mate to climb on the podium after an impressive comeback from 12th to 3rd position.

Pole, victory and fastest lap!

The WSK Open Series, which took place from 10th to 12th March, started in the best possible way with Senna Van Walstijn taking pole position. The latter won a heat and the Super Heat, while his team-mate was the leader of the Qualifying Heats with two wins. Van Walstijn made a perfect start to the Final by taking the lead on the first lap, before running away to victory at the wheel of his devilishly efficient Sodi-TM, as shown by his fastest lap on this circuit that is demanding for the equipment. His direct rival couldn't do anything! The Dutchman took advantage of this to take the lead in the series.

Emilien Denner was pushed around in the opening laps and had to be satisfied with 5th place, but the performance was good. The technical staff of the Sodikart factory and the CPB Sport team worked constantly in the right direction. Thomas Imbourg's top 10 finish completed a successful meeting for the French manufacturer. In KZ as well as in KZ2, Sodi will need to be accounted for in the next FIA Karting events.

Sodi performs well in Junior and OK

At the same time, Sodikart and the Trèfle Racing team were in Valencia for the opening of the Champions of the Future Euro Series, with drivers entered in OK and OK-Junior. Already excellent since the beginning of the season (4th in the Winter Cup and in the WSK Super Master Series in Franciacorta), the Italian Filippo Sala constantly fought at the front in OK-Junior and crossed the finish of the Final in 5th position. In OK, Nathan Tye got stronger as the weekend went on and finally climbed from 13th to 6th place. A good omen for the opening of the European Championship.
