PATRIK HAJEK AND KOSMIC IN THE TOP TEN OF THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP FOR KZ AND KZ2 AT SALBRIS

On the French circuit the Czech driver raises high the Kosmic Racing Department colours, gaining the seventh position in the KZ final.

After the Sarno single-speed categories debut, the FIA Karting European Championship goes on with the French round in Salbris, reserved for the KZ and KZ2 shifter categories. On the foreign circuit, the Kosmic Racing Department protects itself to the best with Patrik Hajek, who in the master class final gains the seventh position, awarding the work done throughout the weekend.

The beginning of the weekend, in fact, for the Czech driver begins quietly, with the fourteenth timing in the qualifying. But the situation improves with the heats, with him rising in eighth position of the grid of the final. Here, Patrik takes full advantage of the performance of his Kosmic Mercury S chassis powered by Vortex RKZ engine and performs a great jump at the start taking him up to the sixth position, to finally take the seventh position from which to start for the next competitive engagements.

Hints in KZ2 class, where Oliver Rasmussen gains a third and a second place in the eliminatory heats, but two other less positive heats force him to start in the back, with a final all in the fight.

Paul Evrard, despite three places gained in the top 10 on the occasion of the Saturday's heats, finds himself starting from the last row in the decisive final. Here, his performance is praiseworthy and, supported by the excellent Kosmic Mercury S chassis, he manages to overtake rivals lap after lap, recovering not less than 20 positions, closing in an unexpected 14th place.

The next Kosmic Racing Department engagements are scheduled on the weekend of May 17th-20th, with the second round of the European championship for OK and OKJ categories at Brandon's PF International circuit. The shifter categories, however, will be called back on track in the weekend of July 13th-15th, when the second round of the FIA Karting European Championship will take place at the South Garda Karting in Lonato.
