Pablo Sarrazin prepared for Spanish F4 visit to Aragón

KCMG Driver Development Project (KCMG-DDP) member Pablo Sarrazin is set to take on MotorLand Aragón this weekend for the second round of the 2023 Spanish F4 campaign.

Sarrazin showed strong speed at the circuit in the North-East of Spain in pre-season testing, giving him a boost of confidence ahead of the event. Competing for Van Amersfoort Racing – Monlau Motorsports (VAR/Monlau), the 17-year-old had promising pace in the season opener at Spa-Francorchamps, although his qualifying performance was affected by changeable weather conditions and then a track limits infringement. Sarrazin had the potential to recover back up the field in the races, but Safety Car interruptions and a lack of racing laps prevented him from making that progress.

Situated in the North-East of Spain, MotorLand Aragón measures 5.345 kilometres in length and brings unique challenges to drivers. Elevation changes and a twisty middle sector mean competitors must be precise with their driving line, while a long back straight provides a heavy braking zone for the hairpin at Turn 16.

“I’m very happy to be back in the car this weekend and to be working with the team. We have analysed the races at Spa and know what we need to work on, so I’m ready to give my all to get the best out of the event. I enjoyed driving at Aragón in the pre-season test and I’m excited to get back on track, hopefully taking some strong results.”

Edoardo Liberati KCMG-DDP Driver Coach
“Pablo showed great speed at Aragón in testing earlier this year, so I’m sure he can translate that into a positive Round 2 of the Spanish F4 campaign. At Spa, he was unlucky in qualifying and lost a lap due to track limits, and then the lack of green running in the races prevented him from moving through the field. Wishing good luck to Pablo and I’ll be keeping up to date with his progress from Fuji!”

Paul Ip KCMG Founder
“Following Round 1, where Pablo set strong sector times, he now needs to work on bringing it all together to compete inside the top-10. We know qualifying is key to a good result on race day, and Pablo is ready for the fight. He showed excellent pace in testing at Aragón and knows the circuit, so we’re hoping for some positive results this weekend."
