Online registration started for 2021 DKM, Five races spread over Germany and Belgium

Frankfurt on the Main. On February 1st at 12pm, with the beginning of the online registration for the German Kart Championship, the kick-off to the 2021 season is going to happen. Interested drivers can register for the five grade series DKM (OK), DJKM (OK-Junior), DSKM (KZ2), DSKC (KZ2) and DEKM on the website www.kart-dm.de. The racing calendar consists of five races spread over Germany and Belgium.

The DKM already presented its racing calendar for the new season in December. After a shortened program last year, the highest German kart racing series is now planning five events again with international status (except DEKM). The DKM is going to take place on race tracks in Germany four times and once in Belgium.

The beginning is going to take place – just like in 2020 – on the Erftlandring in Kerpen: The first decisions of the season are going to be made from May 7th – 9th on the traditional track in Western Germany. Things are then going to continue at the beginning of June (4th – 6th) in Wackersdorf, two weeks before the European Karting Championship in Wackersdorf for the KZ, KZ2 and FIA Karting Academy classes. The season half-time is going to take place in Belgian Genk from July 30th – August 1st. A DKM premiere is then going to happen towards the end of the season. After last year’s race on the new race track in Mülsen had to be cancelled, it’s now going to take place in 2021. At the beginning of September (10th-12th), the international field of participants is going to travel to Saxony. The big season finale is going to take place just three weeks later (October 1st – 3rd) at Zimmermann Karting in Ampfing.

Start of online-registration on February 1st

On February 1st at 12pm, the online registration for the 2021 season is going to start on the DKM-website www.kart-dm.de. Registration is now going to be possible until two weeks before a DKM-event and there won’t be any late fees anymore. The security- and hygiene-fee is going to be integrated into the registration, which is going to make the organization for the teams prior to a racing event a lot easier. The registration fees for the DKM, DJKM and DSKM classes are going to remain unchanged. For contractual reasons, the DSKC fee is going to be adjusted so that all four grade series are going to require the same registration fee including security- and hygiene-fee of 3.200€, which must be paid by May 1st, 2021. Guest driver entries for individual DKM events are also possible via the DMSB online portal from April 1st.

E-Racing for the motorsports newcomers: DEKM registration starts at the same time

The globally unique German Electric Kart Championship (DEKM) is going to take place within the framework of the DKM again. The DEKM Arrive & Drive Package in addition to providing the E-kart incl. kart-wagon also contains transport to all events as well as a unified DEKM-racing suit. The DEKM-team wear for drivers and mechanics is also included. If the registration happens before February 28th 2021, the participation fee including security- and hygiene-fee for the whole season is going to be 15.400€, after that it is going to be 16.400€. The fee can be paid in three installments in a participant-friendly way. The registration can be done separately at www.dekm.de.
