New team RPM joins 2022 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine grid

Race Performance Motorsport joins Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine as one of 12 teams confirmed for the upcoming season.

RPM will replace DR Formula, who have decided to leave the championship. The 100% Italian squad will count on the leadership of former racing driver Keith Donegan and on bringing experienced engineers, new facilities, a driver development center and a last-generation simulator.

The Piacenza based team will be supported by the team manager Enrico Carraro new to FRECA, but surely not new to motorsport, indeed he was the owner for ten years of his own team which competed in LMP3 championships like Road To Le Mans and managed gentlemen driver activities.

Enrico Carraro – RPM team manager

“I got the very nice opportunity to get in touch with Mr. Donegan, through Niki Rocca. So we joined the Race Performance Motorsport family and I’m very happy about that. I will basically have a double role as Team Manager and Sporting Director. Mr. Donegan took over the entry of DR Formula, but the technical director who is the heart of the team, Niki Rocca, is a well-known name in the paddock. He doesn’t need any introduction, but he was the technician behind the years of RP Motorsport’s domination in EuroFormula Open. The target is to fill up all the 3 cars and the aim of everybody in the team is to run in the front of the grid. Our ambition is to fight straightaway for the top positions.”
